Full RNID Induction Loop and Hearing Support System
Doncaster Primary Care Trust has funded, through its Choosing Health Project, a state of the art Induction Loop and hearing support system, installed by the Royal National Institute for the deaf at the Redmond Centre. Pam Milton, Chairperson of the RCCG group based at the Redmond Centre, officially opened the system on the 11th of June and unveiled a wall mounted brass plaque marking the occasion. Users of the centre have already been reaping the benefits of the system which allows them to tune their hearing aid into the hearing loop which then improves the clarity of sound which is heard. At the event were RCCG members and service users of the Redmond Centre, Andrew Picken Choosing Health Development Worker - Doncaster PCT, Ian Carpentar Doncaster PCT, Jayne Briggs Centre Coordinator, Steve Thomas Adwick Ward Neighbourhood Manager and Representatives from Doncaster Partnership for Carers.
