Health wise courses 2010 -11
There are a variety of these courses avaiable in Carcroft. We will publicise these on this website, posters around the village, local shops and the community notice baords in the area (Carcroft High Street, in the playground Carcroft Primary School, Skellow Road, Skellow shops, Bullcroft Memorial Hall.
These courses concentrate on weight management and looks at how diet and lifestyle impacts on weight issues. The course is designed to be informal but help people to understand their relationship with food and how they can lose weight effectively and safely without fad diets. It is run through Doncaster Royal Infirmarys Dietetics Department and delivered at community venues around Doncaster.
In 2010 we ran two 12 week weight management course at the Redmond centre. We had 25 people attend these. We have also been running one at Sanctuary housing, Skellow in May 2010. Our next one is due at Asda Carcroft in September 2010.
